Len Monson
Kuhn, Heap & Monson

Len Monson is a retired Of Counsel attorney who brought extensive experience in land use, estate planning, corporate law, and real estate law to the Law Offices of Kuhn, Heap & Monson.

After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Northern Illinois University in 1978, Len served as a Graduate Associate in the Applied Mathematics Division of Argonne National Laboratory. He returned to NIU in 1979 to pursue graduate studies and earned a Master of Business Administration with distinction, Beta Gamma Sigma, in 1980.

During his graduate work, Len served as the graduate assistant to the Dean of the College of Business and taught undergraduate marketing courses.

Upon earning his MBA, Len joined the NCR Corporation, where he worked in mainframe computer sales to the banking industry. While employed at NCR, he attended DePaul University College of Law, where he graduated and was admitted to the bar in 1986.

Len later served as CFO and General Counsel of GCL, a manufacturing and marketing company, for eight years before joining Kuhn, Heap & Monson.

A frequent lecturer, Len has spoken extensively at local universities and has taught numerous continuing legal education classes for the DuPage Bar Association.

His professional and community involvement includes serving as Treasurer for the Naperville United Way; member emeritus of the NIU College of Business Board of Executive Advisors; former Chairman of the DuPage County Bar Association Real Estate Committee; board member of the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association, the Naperville Heritage Society, and the Naperville Development Partnership; and ongoing service on numerous educational, charitable, and community-related boards.

A lifelong resident of the area, Len currently lives in Batavia with his wife, Nancy, and their two children.
